Arts Award Music has been designed to develop a student’s creative and performance skills whilst further developing and applying their knowledge and understanding of core areas of study from across the national curriculum. The programme will be offered in 12-week blocks, broken down into 2 x 6 week projects.

Your child will create and compose music on their own and with others, using voices, instruments and technology. They will be able to experiment with creating, selecting and combining sounds using the inter-related dimensions of music.
Your child will how music is created, produced and communicated through pitch, rhythms, dynamics, tempo, texture and structure. And will be shown how to create performances that are unique and individual.
Throughout their learning with BHVA your child will gain access to strategies to help aid their health and mental well-being by utilising the tools available in the arts.
This programme has been developed to deliver links to your child's curriculum such as: number and measurement, sound, anatomy, earth and space, forces, computing, geography, local history, and PSHE.
These sessions take place on Wednesday 1pm - 3pm. Children will need leggings, and a BHVA t-shirt.
